This week there were many wonderful choices to post. However, in reviewing my photos, one drawing jumped off the screen. While warming up, Kim used her whole arm in an intuitive sweep with the side of the charcoal, and then rotated her wrist to show the contours. What a great way to start off the class. Bravo!

In the crippling aftermath of Sandy, I take a moment here to admire the versatility and power of the individual. A few more from the first life drawing class:

Having escaped our post Sandy power outage, I am finally able to consider something other than batteries, candles, cold water, and a warm freezer. 

Last week was the first life drawing class for many. After ten minutes of flat, uninspiring attempts, what followed was a rigorous workout of one minute poses and a personal connection to the human spirit. In the following examples, Ashley rediscovered her tender touch - yet with more spunk!
