Not every drawing subject is favorably posed. Here one person is turned away and the other is leaning over. Without an understanding of the head (and body) as a three-dimensional block, both images would be compressed into the more classic side profile.

A fingered extremity with a noteworthy voice; it points, claps, grips, clings, claws, slaps and caresses. And so articulate that it can get us into a host of trouble - with just one finger.
