A lesson on anatomy is also one on perspective. What is closest to the viewer appears larger. While body parts may get exaggerated, it sure beats having tiny hands. ;-)

Light magnifies the beauty of the form. On a more human note, it also articulates a labyrinth of fragile bones, sagging muscles, unwanted body fat, all under a coating of skin that easily burns. Life's imperfections are there in front of us - usually less noteworthy in a class on anatomy.
